Elder G. H. Crane of Altus, Okla., was to officiate, assisted by Jermoe Savage, minister of the Church of Christ here, and the Rev. Davis Edens, pastor of the Methodist Church of Rochester. Burial was to be in Rule Cemetery with the Mansell-Smith Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Davis suffered a cerebal hemorrage Feb. 4 and had been seriously ill since.
She was born Jan. 15, 1877, at Granger and was married to Melvin Davis in 1898. He died March 4, 1928.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She had lived in Haskell County since 1920, coming here from Jayton. She also had lived at Tuxedo.
Surviving are two sons, Fred Davis of Rochester and Levi Davis of Corona, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Scheets of Haskell, Mrs. Ruth Wright of Knox City and Mrs. Glenn Hill of Hamlin; three step-children, Mrs. Oma Dunnam of Haskell, Mrs. Susie Taylor of Rule and Mrs. Eva Tuckett of Rosenberg; four sisters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
