Sarah Frances Sims was born September 12, 1856 in Lewis County, Tennessee to Daniel Sims and Sarah Byram.
Fannie, as she liked to be called, married Wallace Abner Hayes on August 17, 1879 in Lewis County, Tennessee. Fannie and Wallace had eight known children. Five of their children were born in Tennessee before they made their way to Texas between 1892 and 1894. The youngest three were born in Texas. The Hayes' settled in Midlothian, Ellis County, Texas to raise their family and farm the land for the next fifty some odd years.
Fannie's husband Wallace preceded her in death in 1941.
She passed away on September 17, 1943 in Midlothian, Ellis County, Texas, five days after her 87th birthday. Her final resting place is beside her husband Wallace at the Midlothian Cemetery in Ellis County, Texas.
