Mrs Louella Chaney, wife of John Chaney of Louisburg, a resident of this county for almost half a century, died yesterday morning, March 24, 1932, at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. E. Shelton, 402 West Peoria Street, this city.

The deceased was born January 9, 1879, in Simpson county, Kentucky, and came to Kansas in 1885, settling near Louisburg with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Boren. On September 6, 1899, Miss Boren and John Reed were married at Louisburg and six children were born to them. They are: Mrs. Daisy Summers, of Kansas City; Vernon Reed, of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Oliver, Francis, Clarence and Chester Reed, all of the home. Her mother, Mrs. Boren; three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Shelton and Mrs. George Cook, of Paola, and Mrs. Edna Gatlin, of Boicourt, and three brothers, Herman, Clyde and Bert Boren, of Kelliher, Minnesota, also survive. Mr. Reed died in 1911, and the deceased afterwards married Mr. Chaney.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at the Baptist church in Louisburg at one o'clock. Interment will be in the Louisburg cemetery.
