Mamie "Beth" Elizabeth Miller, 87, of Champaign passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at The Carle Arbours, Savoy.
Mrs. Miller was born on Feb. 19, 1922 in Champaign, the daughter of Charles A. and Mamie J. Blake Sedgwick. She married Charles "Chuck" A. Miller on Jan. 30, 1943 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He preceded her in death in September of 1994.
Surviving are two sons, John Miller and Mike C. (Barbara) Miller; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nephew, Jim (Trilby) Sedgwick; niece, Lyn (Mike) Mitchell and other much-loved family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Chuck, Vail and Edward Sedgwick and one sister, Sarah Kirkby.
Mrs. Miller graduated from Champaign High School. She retired as an accounting clerk from the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois, Urbana. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Urbana. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading and taking drives to watch wildlife in the country.
