La Porte City - Leonard C. Clark, 84, of 6425 e. Reinbeck Road, died Thursday, Jan. 10, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, from heart failure.

He was born July 22, 1917, in rural La Porte City, son of Otto "Bud" and Ethel Lofgren Clark.

He married Arva M. Snow in 1945, in Preston, Minn. They divorced in 1963. He then married Carol Jean Johnson in October 1968, in Vinton. She died Jan. 11, 1978. Mr. Clark farmed in the La Porte City area, retiring in 1986.

Survived by: three sons, Craig Clark of Council Bluffs, Kim Clark of Rosemead, Calif., and Mike Wenthe of Dubuque; three daughters, Cami Clark of Tacoma, Wash., Kristi Beck of Waterloo and Kelly Abernathy of Center City, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Arlene Leonard Clark Wagner of La Porte City and Irene Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Preceded in death by: a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Harold and George; and two sisters, Florence Miles and Dorothy Lockhart.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Huisman Funeral Home, La Porte City, and for an hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the church.
