Norma Mae Saucier Cuevas, age 83, of the Standard Community, died Friday, March 13, 2009. Mrs. Cuevas was a native and lifelong resident of the Standard Community and retired as a school bus driver with Map Head Start. She also worked for Mac Smith garmet Factory, Pass Christian Industries, and Movie Star Factory. Mrs. Cuevas enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollen H. Cuevas, a son, Nicholas Cuevas, and her parents Erastus and Alphoncene Cuevas Saucier, grandson, Gregory Peterson, and a great-grandson, Justin Leroy Cuevas. She is survived by her children: Billy Eugene (Jeanette) Cuevas, Mary Peterson, Kenneth Earl (Linda) Cuevas, Carl Wayne (Sonja) Cuevas, all of the Kiln, Betty (Kermon) Ladner, Pass Christian, Kerney Cuevas, Kiln, Dorothy Necaise, Pass CHristian, and Michael (Aileen) Cuevas, Kiln; 1 brother, Clifton (Janice) Saucier, 1 sister, Eva Manuel, both of the Kiln; 28 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. The visitation will be Sunday after 6 pm at the Standard Apostolic Church on Wolf Creek Road, Standard. The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Monday in the church sanctuary. Interment will be in Standard Sandhill Cemetery. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd. in charge of the arrangements.
