Ruby Jewell Sanders Ulmer, 78, of Cassville, died at 6:40 a.m. March 9, 2009.
Mrs. Ulmer was born March 31, 1930, in Barry County, the daughter of James E. and Bessie Brock Sanders. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cherokee Nation West, Butterfield Ladies Auxiliary and the Baptist Church in Butterfield.

She married George E. "Huck" Ulmer on Dec. 15, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Ark., and he preceded her in death in May of 2008.

Survivors include: two sons, Eddie Ulmer, of Purdy, and Jimmie Ulmer, of Jasper; three daughters, Patty Ulmer, of Olathe, Kan., Pamela Ellis, of Washburn, and Brenda Ulmer, of Independence; one brother, James Sanders Jr., of Exeter; one sister, Alfreda Tracy, of Indian Lake Estates, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill Sanders, Carl Sanders, Ralph Sanders, Paul Sanders and Danny Sanders; and three sisters, Pauline Baker, Shirley Betts and Dorothy Case.

Services will be noon Friday, March 13 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville with Doyle Russell, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant in Butterfield.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, March 12 at the funeral home.
