He married Roseland L. "Rossie" Buck on 24 May 1904, in Attica, Michigan. They were the parents of Leone P., born 1905 and Charles, born 1907. His marriage to Clara Madge Toland produced three children, Leon, born 1924, Nettie Lou, born 1926 and Ada Jean, born 1929. He lived in Lansing, Michigan in 1910 and Barstow, California for about 20 years. In 1940, at the age of 62, his occupation is listed as electrician owner. He died on 2 June 1953, in Loma Linda, California at the age of 74, and was buried in Barstow, California.
