Anna Nachtigall

Anna Voth Nachtigall, age 94, died Monday evening, August 16, 2004, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Interment will be at 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the Henderson Mennonite Brethren Cemetery. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 21st at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Rick Prettyman will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.

OBITUARY: ANNA VOTH NACHTIGALL

Anna S. Voth was born July 18, 1910 to John and Katherine (Sperling) Voth in Enid, Oklahoma. Anna married Andy Nachtigall on February 8, 1931 at Coldwater, Texas. They farmed in the Aurora area until retirement in 1974 when they moved to Henderson.

In April 1999, they made their home in the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Andy passed away in November 1999.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four children: Dorothy (Melvin) Thiessen of Fresno, California, Harold (Eunice) Nachtigall of Aurora, LuElla (Marlin) Janzen of Hillsboro, Kansas and Dr. Dean (Carol) Nachtigall of York, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, Steven (Barbara) Thiessen of Modesto, California, Glenn (Donna) Thiessen of Hillsboro, Kansas, Tim (Denise) Thiessen of Fresno, CA, Julie (William) Nord of Kerman, CA, Lanice (Dr. Jeff) Reiswig of Wichita, KS, Danny (Lora) Janzen of Aurora, Mark (Betsy) Janzen of Lindsburg, KS, Maura (Glenn) Wiebe of Hillsboro, KS, Andrew Nachtigall of Frankville, PA, Jeffrey, Nachtigall of Baltimore, MD, Jonathon (Yanna) Nachtigall of Philadelphia, PA and Brian Nachtigall of Lawrenceville, NJ and 24 great-grandchildren, Michael and LiAnne of Colorado Springs, CO, Scott and Melissa of Modesto, CA, Corey and Brian of Hillsboro, KS, Robbie, Kip, Marci and Rainie of Fresno, CA, Savannah, Matraca and Dallas of Kerman, CA, Jason, Joshua, and Jeremy of Wichita, KS, Evan, Garrett, Dylan and Bethany of Aurora, Andrew and Amy of Lindsburg, KS and Jake and Erin of Hillsboro, KS. She is also survived by a sister, Ella Connelly of Salem, Oregon and numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
