Rhoda C. Peterson, 88, of Sheridan died Monday, April 22, 2002, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Viewing will be all day Friday at Fulkerson Funeral Home in Plentywood, Mont.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Plentywood Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Curtright and Joan Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Plentywood Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson was born March 14, 1914, in Portland, N.D., to Odin and Betsy (Kvernen) Knutson.
She grew up and attended schools in Portland and worked as a housekeeper until she married Sylvan Peterson July 2, 1934.
They farmed until 1968, when they moved to Plentywood. Mrs. Peterson owned and operated a retail store in her home there. She belonged to Plentywood Lutheran Church.
She moved to Wyoming in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983 and by two brothers, Oscar and Abner Knutson.
Survivors include two sons, Sylvan of Richmond, Minn., and Delmaine of Williston, N.D.; a daughter, Rosemary Sullivan of Sheridan; three brothers, Marvel Guttormson of Portland, Leroy Guttormson of Underwood, Minn., and Jennings Guttormson of Elbow Lake, Minn.; a sister, Ovidia Holdorson of Eau Claire, Wis.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may benefit Plentywood Lutheran Church.
