Roy Dewayne Benton, 50, of Mexico, MO, died June 19, 2008, at Audrain Medical Center as a result of an accident.
Funeral services will beheld Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Clouse officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 21, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Benton was born in Mexico,MO on April 3, 1958, a son of Elmer Roy Benton, Jr. and Roseanna Joy Zeigler Benton. His surviving spouse is Gloria Perry Benton. He owned and operated Benton Tree Service in Mexico for 15 years. He was a member of The Church of God Holiness.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Roy D. Benton, Jr., Columbia, MO, Christopher Scott Benton, Auxvasse, MO, and Timothy David Benton, Columbia, MO; two daughters, Anita Joy Benton and Shelly Marie Harrison, Monroe, Utah; one brother, Randall Benton, Mexico, MO; two sisters, Marcella Johnson and husband Gary and Cheryl Poindexter and husband Roger of Mexico, MO; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Benton was proceeded in death by both of his parents.
