Glenda Jean McClaren, 74, Wooster, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, in the Hospice Care Center in Akron.
She was born Dec. 17, 1935, in Bellevue, the daughter of Richard and Ruth Rees Cummings.
She retired from Rubbermaid and in her retirement worked for Elder Beerman, Tiger Lilies and ProQuest. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Shreve.
Surviving are a daughter, April Bresson of Defiance; grandchildren Shawn McClaran, Tara (Vernon) Neeley and Joshua Harper; a great-grandson, Miles Neeley; and a cousin Vernon Rees.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne E. McClaran, on June 19, 1995, whom she married April 11, 1955, daughter Cindy Harper and son Richard McClaran, stepfather Delmar Harbaugh and half-brother Robert Harbaugh.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star memorial service to be held at 5:45 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Priscilla Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.
