Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 9, 1989 at the Aurora Christian Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.
OBITUARY: Peter Holm
Peter Christian Holm, the son of Jens and Meta (Mortensen) Holm was born in a sod house south of Hampton, Nebraska, on March 20, 1902, and passed away at York, Nebraska, on December 4, 1989, at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 10 days.
He attended country school, and helped his father farm and hired out as a farm hand. Later he began farming and cattle feeding on his own.
On July 18, 1928, he was united in marriage to Effie Wood at Aurora. She preceded him in death on March 7, 1956. After his marriage he continued farming until 1976, when he retired and moved into Aurora.
Pete was a member of the Aurora Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 sisters, Anne Nordell, Mary Holm and Carrie Hill, and one brother, Hans Peter Holm.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, Richard W. Holm and his wife Gloria of Midland, Michigan; one brother, Nels Holm of Hedrick, Iowa; 3 sisters, Sena Petersen and Meta Coats, both of Turlock, California and Emma Smith of Denair, California; and 2 grandsons, Peter and Steven.
