Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 7, 1987 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Harold Dieckman

Harold Christian Dieckman, the son of William and Matielda (Bloom) Dieckman, was born at Giltner, Nebraska, on June 3, 1914, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 3, 1987, at the age of 72 years and 9 months.

He grew up and attended school in the Giltner area, and graduated from Giltner High School in 1931.

On September 27, 1936, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Rath at Eldorado, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1958.

They farmed south of Aurora until 1939, when Harold began working as a city mail carrier for the Aurora Post Office until retiring on January 16, 1970.

On November 9, 1974, he married June (Posey) Graham at Aurora.

Harold enjoyed working with clocks, and woodworking, especially after his retirement, and he cut and cured his own wood.

He was a member of the Aurora Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, June; one son, The Rev. Larry Dieckman of Mead, Nebraska; one daughter, Marilyn Jean Gibson of Mission, Texas; 6 step-children; 5 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
