Mrs. James Jacks Dies; Rites Set For 9 a.m. Monday
Mrs. James Jacks, 74, 608 Wesl Market st., died at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's hospital after a lingering illness. She was a member of St. Joseph's church Rosary society and the Royal Neighbors. Born Feb. 14, 1885 in Kentland, Ind., she was the former Lena Emmerd, the daughter of John and Bruck Emmerd.
Survivors are three sons, Louis J., 601 Pa'nhandle ave.; Bernard V., 1027 Erie, arid Francis J., Indianapolis, one step-daughter, Mrs. Madglena Tabler, at home, and six grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's church with Msgr. Maurice Foley officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent's cemetery. Friends may call at the Kroeger funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday. Rosary society services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
