Harvey T Bomar, 71, of Henry, retired truck driver for TIME-DC, died Sunday at Henry County Medical Center.

Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday at Ridgeway Morticians with Charles Trevathan officiating. Burial will be in Manley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 PM today.

Named as pallbearers were Don Williams, Ron Thomas, Gene Page, Jerry Muzzall, R.C. Lawrence and Dennis McClure.

Bomar was born March 19, 1917, in Henry County, son of Myra Redden Bomar of Paris and the late Rufus Bomar. He was married in 1942 to the former Marie Sommerville, who died in 1974. He married the former Lucille Wilkinson in 1975, and she survives. He attended the Methodist church and was a member of Teamsters Union No. 2.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Rose Donegan of Memphis; a step-daughter, Ann Peebles Thomas of Henry; a son, Harvey “Tim” Bomar Jr. of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Mike (Eileen) Carley of Paris and Mrs. Goble (Faye) Wilson of Mayfield, Ky.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
