Obituary:

From the June 10, 1903 LaFayette Sun:
In memory.
Died at her home near Hamburg, June 6th, 1903, Mrs. Ada Huckaby. Her death was unexpected as she has been sick only a few days. Her husband died about fifteen months ago. She leaves six children. She was laid to rest at Shady Ridge, where she was a consistent member. We feel that we can truthfully say she was a true Christian. Weep not, dear ones, but try to live so as to meet her in a home “not made with hands eternal in the heavens.” May God bless and comfort the dear little children is the earnest prayer of Ruby Belle Williams.

Mrs. Ada Huckaby, of Hamburg, who has been confined to her bed for several weeks with an attack of typhoid fever, died last Saturday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock. Mrs. Huckaby leaves six children, besides a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her sad departure. Her remains were interred in the cemetery at Sandy ridge on Sunday following her death. We extend heartfelt sympathies to the sorely bereaved family.
