Leith graduated from BYU in 1940 with a degree in Education and Physical Education. She lived around the world, including nine states and two foreign countries, with her husband who was employed with the U.S. Air Force for 30 years.
Mrs. Anderson was involved in various organizations including Widowed Persons and was an officer in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers organization.
She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as librarian for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, JoEllen (Richard) Ryckaert, Bountiful; two granddaughters, Richelle Ryckaert Wilde, Lincoln, Nebraska; Amber Rychaert, Salt Lake City; and one great-granddaughter. Sierra Wilde, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Also surviving are Maria Hayes Forsyeth, Leeds, Utah and Emma Hayes Penhallegon, Wenatchee, Washington.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Alton, Rex and Sheldon Hayes and one sister, Beth Hayes Sowby.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 9, at the Bear River Ward Chapel, with Bishop's Counselor Ronald Jorgenson officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton.
Interment in the Bear River Cemetery.
