Graveside services for Hazel L. King, 733 Cole St., who died Tuesday morning at a local hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Lancaster officiating.
She was born Feb. 13, 1890, in Seattle, Wash. She had lived in Gainesville for the past 30 years and had spent most of her life as a circus performer. She was a renowned horse and dog trainer and appeared in many major circuses and wild west shows, as well as at Disneyland. She also worked in the Gainesville Community Circus and rode her horse, Major, in several of the annual local Christmas parades.
