Glenn Lee Humphries passed away quietly at his home early Monday morning, March 9, 2009. He was surrounded by many who loved him after a challenging experience with Melanoma.


Born June 11, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Doyle and Betty Lou Humphries.


He attended South High School, where he found his interest in woodworking. In 1978, he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon.


He was an expert cabinet installer for over 20 years at Chris & Dicks. Later, he and Sharon purchased the Old Dutch Store. Over the years he loved many things.


Traveling, scuba diving with Crystal, sharing slurpees with Katie, playing with Lincoln, and golfing with his friends.


He is survived by his soul mate and wife of 30 years; his daughters, Crystal Evans (Michael) and Katie Reid (Kevin); his much-loved grandson, Lincoln; his brother, Dick (Linda); and his favorite cat, Meme. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his brother, Mike.


A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 7-9:00 p.m. at 10310 South Ashley Park Drive (2130 East). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing one hour prior to the services at the same location.
Burial will be at Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street.
