Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Boyett, 75, native and lifelong resident of the Cypress Creek community, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, at a Winnfield hospital, were held Sunday at 3:55 p.m. at the Cypress Creek Baptist Church. Officiating were Rev. Hugh White, Rev. David White, Rev. A. D. Foster, and Rev. Mr. Valentine.

Burial was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Boyett was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her husband, Wiley Boyett; four sons, Horace [sic Harice] of Texas City, Texas, and Herman, Amos [sic Amo], and W. A. Boyett, all of Dodson, Rt. 2; two daughters, Mrs. Tom Williams and Mrs. Houston Higgs, both of Dodson; 28 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Sill Cockerham of Texas and John Cockerham of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Coonce of Rayville and Mrs. Katie Dean of Dodson.
