Funeral services for L. Alverda Koontz, 99, formerly of 8558 Weaver Road, St. Louisville, will be at 10:30 AM Monday at the St. Paul's Lutheran church, St. Louisville with the Reverend Frederich Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson cemetery
Mrs. Koontz, a member of the Saint Louisville Garden Club, died Friday, September 22, at LPN Health Care Facility. She was born January 23, 1896 to the late James K. and Sarah Ferguson Krotinger in Licking County.
She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church in Saint Louisville and the Lutheran Christian women.
Her husband, Willard Koontz, died in January of 1973.
Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Barbara and Jack Cummons and Dorothy and Wayne Rice all of Saint Louisville; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call today from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Brucker in Kishler funeral home, 985 north 21st street, Newark. The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Paul's Lutheran church, St. Louisville OH 43071.
