Mrs. Long before her marriage was Miss Ellen Rossman. She was born in Madison county, Ohio, May 28, 1839, making her age at the time of her death 71 years, 7 months, and 26 days. In the early forties she came with her parents to Brunswick, and was united in marriage December 14, 1859, to James W. Long, who preceded her to the grave in April, 1896.
In early life Mrs. Long united with the Episcopal church and throughout her long life lived in strict conformity to the precepts of that body. Throughout her long and distressing illness she was patient and often expressed herself as being ready for the Master's final call.
Funeral services were conducted at the Abrigg home, Monday afternoon, December 26, 1910.
Burial: Elliott Grove cemetery, Brunswick, MO.
