John P. Poggio, 47, of 196 Front St., died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at Exeter Healthcare.
He was born Jan. 11, 1952, in Exeter, the son of the late John J. and Irma G. (Bernier) Poggio, and was a lifelong resident of Exeter.
Mr. Poggio worked at the former Alrose Shoe Co. in Exeter for several years. He had previously worked for his father at D. Poggio & Sons Grocery Store in Exeter.
He was an avid race car fan and was a member of the Farmer Racing Club. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the oldies.
He is survived by two grandchildren; one aunt, Ruth S. Poggio of Exeter; and one cousin, Linda M. Eaton of Kingston.
He was predeceased by one daughter.
