Dora M. Thompson, 80 years old, a long time resident of Oak Ridge, died in a Cape Girardeau hospital at 9:50 Sunday. Mrs. Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bowers, was born April 2, 1882. She was married to Oscar Thompson Nov. 11, 1908. Mr. Thompson preceded his wife in death Nov. 12, 1956.
Mrs. Thompson had spent most of her married life at Oak Ridge, moving to Jackson three years ago.
Surviving are; one son, Eldon Thompson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Tillman Wills of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Emory Bowers of Jackson; and three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Hartle of Jackson, Mrs. Cora Reid of Flat River and Miss Daisy Bowers of St. Louis.
Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. Services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon at [?] with the Rev. James H. [?] officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
