HENRY CLAY MYERS
OREGON CITY---Henry Clay Myers, 85, 187 Linn Avenue, died early Monday morning at an Oregon City nursing home following a long illness.
He was born August 9, 1869 at Wadsworth, Nev., and has been an Oregon City resident for 78 years. He was a member of First Methodist Church. He came to Oregon when eight years old with his parents and lived in the Springwater district until he was 35. He moved to Gladstone where he farmed for five years and moved to Oregon City in 1907. Myers formerly worked at both Hawley and Crown paper mills.
Survivors include the widow, Leona Myers, Oregon City; two sons, James, Aurora; Don, Oregon City; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hoopes, Central Point and Mrs. Flora Swick, Mt. Pleasant; three grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hillside Chapel. Rev. E. G. Wuest will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery.

Donald---Henry C. Myers, 85, father of James Myers of Donald, died early last week (Monday) at an Oregon City nursing home. He had been confined to the home since the first of June. Myers moved to Oregon City in 1907 and he worked for both the Hawley and Crown paper mills. However he made extended visits to the home of his son in Donald, from time to time.
He is survived by the widow, Leona Myers, Oregon City: two sons, James of Donald and Don of Oregon City; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hoopes, Central Point, and Mrs. Flora Swick, Mt. Pleasant; and three grandsons, Lyle, David and Larry.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hillside Chapel with Rev. E. G. Wuest officiating. Burial was in the Mt. View Cemetery, Oregon City.
