Helena J. Madsen died in this city Nov. 27. She was born in Scipio, Millard county, Utah, March 28, 1873. At the age of five years her parents Ole and Magdalina Jenson, moved to St. Johns Arizona and 17 years later returned to Utah locating in Manti where they resided up to the time of their death. She was married in the Manti Temple Oct. 18, 1893 to Ernest Madsen. A year later she was called to labor in the Temple where she worked for four years. For two years she has been a patient sufferer. Human skill gave no permanent relief.
Funeral services were held at the tabernacle, Bishop Kjar presiding. The speakers were Jens Mickleson, J. B. Jacobsen, C. P. Larson, Lewis Anderson and Bishop Peterson. Members of the choir acted as pallbearers. She leaves a sister, Lydia J. Moffitt, and a brother, Henry O. Jenson.
