Mrs. Mary L. Rooke, wife of Amos Rooke, died at her home near Mont Clair June 13 after an illness of several months. Mrs. Rooke was born March 7, 1837 and had been a faithful member of the Baptist church since 1865. A husband and daughter, three sisters and a brother survive her. Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. J. E. Sherrill. The interment was at North Salem.
