Virgil was born July 16, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hyrum Virgil Bair and Mildred Lloyd.
He graduated from Park City High and attended Snow College. He married Jeneen Taylor and they later divorced. Virgil then married Norene Cory in 1991 in Nevada.
He was a member of the Park City Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the American Legion. He served in the Army. He was also a member of the Summit County Sheriff Patrol. He retired from U.D.O.T.
Virgil is survived by his loving wife, Norene; sons, Gregg Bair, Rick Provost, Cory Provost and Gregory Cory; siblings, Ted Bair, Jerry Bair and Ronnie Bair; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce Bair; daughter, Debbie Curtis, and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery, 5490 South Vine Street.
