he was born July 6, 1923 in Mecklenburg County. She was the daughter of the late William Allison Washam and Mozelle McAuley Washam.
She was a graduate of Huntersville High School and a member of Huntersville ARP Church.
Catherine is survived by one brother; Caswell (T.C.) Washam of Huntersville and sister, Hilda Carroll of Charlotte.
A graveside service will be conducted 3 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Huntersville ARP Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
