Watkins Clinton Barkley, 73, died at his home in Thomaston Wednesday, October 28. Funeral services were held at the Thomaston Baptist Church Friday, October 30th at 10:30 with the Rev. A.W. Barker officiating. Interment was in Thomaston Cemetery with Spigener Funeral Home in charge.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. W.C. Barkley, of Thomaston; one daughter, Mrs. E.E. Ross; four sisters, Mrs. B.F. Hart, of Georgia, Mrs. Alice Westbrook, of Atmore, Mrs. Ella Moring of Atmore, Mrs. Ola Winfield, of Birmingham; one brother, Joe H. Barclay, of Mobile and two grandchildren.
