HAGERMAN IDAHO-Eldon LeRoy Anderson, 67, a Hagerman resident died Tuesday at a Boise Hospital.

Eldon was born April 22, 1927 in Bothwell, Utah, the son of Wallace E. and Edna Harris Anderson. He was raised and educated in Bothwell and Tremonton, Utah, and graduated from Bear River High School.

Eldon served with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II.

He married Erma Grover on Sept. 20, 1948 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. He farmed in Bothwell, Tremonton, Burley and Hagerman. While farming in Burley he was recognized as Farmer of the year and in both Burley and Hagerman as the Top Sugar Beet Grower, he also had a small herd of Red Agnus which he was very proud of.

In 1976 Eldon was World Champion Chariot Racer and in 1992 was recognized for his efforts in Soil Conservation. Eldon enjoyed coaching men's and women's softball and basketball teams and working in the 4-H programs.

He was also a member of the Hagerman second ward L.D.S. Church.

Survivors include his wife Erma of Hagerman, three daughters, Kristine Anderson of Orem, Utah; Richelle Glauner and her husband Bruce of Salmon; Lori Luttmer and her husband Gerhard G. of Nampa, three brothers, Jay and Lynn Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Wally E. Anderson of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters, Elaine Harding of Virginia and Ione Anderson of Rupert, five grandchildren, Cory and Brooke Glauner of Salmon and Mandi, Nikki and Trevor Luttmer of Nimpa.

Eldon was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Le Anderson in 1972, his parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hagerman L.D.S. Church by Bishop Matt Dalton.

Burial will follow at the Hagerman Cemetery.

Friend may call at Demaray Gooding Chapel on Friday from 5 to 8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Saturday one hour prior to the services time.

Family suggests that contributions be made to Mountain States Tumor Institute at 151 East Bannock St. Boise, Ida. 83772.
