Jesse Monroe Archer passed away at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 22 days, at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 1959, after having been admitted to the Wallace Hospital.

Jesse was a retired farmer and his residence was in Stoutland, Camden County, Missouri. He was born on January 12, 1873, to William Archer and Matilda (Kissinger) Archer near Stoutland, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at Stoutland Christian Church on Sunday, April 5, 1959, at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Patrick Smith officiating. Selected music was "Lord, I'm coming Home."

Pallbearers included Raymond Archer, Bobby Wilson, Robert Archer, Leo Archer, Billy Wagoner and Lester Archer.

Burial was at Stoutland Cemetery.

Survivors included five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Jones of Lebanon, Mrs. Oma Wheeler and Mrs. Ora Carver - both of Webb City, Mrs. Minnie Lefever, Mrs. Edith Tiberghien of Oronogo; two sons, Claude W. Archer of Webb City and Clyde M. Archer of Nevada, Missouri; two brothers, D.N. Archer and Skip Archer; and two sisters, Mae (Archer) Decker and Myrtle (Archer) Wilson.

Colonial Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
