Rev. Allen was born March 19, 1941, at Chickasha, to Lon and Mary (Lantz) Allen.
He was a 1959 graduate of Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. He had worked for the United States Post Office as a postal route carrier before becoming a pastor. He pastored churches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Georgia. Currently, he was pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Afton, taking that position in May, 2008.
He married Christene Morgan , July 26, 1961, at Oklahoma City.
She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son and his wife, Rev. Terry and Samalee Allen of Lebanon, Tenn.; a daughter, Renae Elmore of Oklahoma City; three brothers and their wives, Tony and Sue Allen, Larry and Angie Allen, and Duane and Glenda Allen, all of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren, Krystle Elmore and Jonathan Dane Allen.
He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Reford Allen.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, at Bethesda Assembly of God Church, in Oklahoma City, with Rev. Craig Dacus, Rev. Cecil Brown, and Rev. Frank Cargill officiating.
Burial will be at Amber Cemetery in Amber.
A visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday at First Assembly of God Church in Afton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.
