John W. Blize, 71, Died February 19

John William Blize, 71, 2201 Miller St., died February 19 in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. Blize was born in Rock Creek May 20, 1887 and had been a resident of Baker county all of his life. He had been employed in the lumber industry for a number of years.
Mr. Blize is survived by his wife, Anna Baker, by six children, Louie W. Blize of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; Johnny V. Blize, Seattle; Grace Aldrich, Union; Emma Graves, Sumpter; Geneva Duncan, Baker; and Genevene Bacon, Sumpter; also by three stepchildren, Katy Minor of Baker, Gladys Dyer of Stanfield and Arthur McCoy of California: By two half-sisters, Mrs Ethel McCullough, North Powder and Mrs. Edna Aldrich, Haines; by 24 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Services for Mr. Blize were conducted Monday with the Reverend McBee of the Church of Christ in Wallowa officiating. Interment was in Haines cemetery
