Ella Faye (Blackburn) Carlile was born October 12, 1946, in West, Texas to Wayne Bishop Blackburn, Sr. and Emma Mae (Talley) Blackburn.

She grew up around Clayton, Oklahoma and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Ella Faye married Lavoy Carlile Nov. 19,1977.

She was the Home Economist for Van Zandt County for several years and was a professor of English and Nutrition at Trinity Valley Community College for many years.

She enjoyed pottery, ceramics, making old time brooms, and reading novels and was a member of the Big Rock Church of Christ at Canton, Tx.

Ella Faye died at the age of 73, July 1, 2020, in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavoy Carlile; parents, Wayne and Emma Blackburn and brother, Wayne Bishop Backburn Jr.

Ella Faye was survived by her sister, Waynell Anderson; and a brother, Jerry Lynn Blackburn.

Burial was at the Simon Cemetery south of Wilson, Oklahoma.
