OBITUARY -

Ruby Willie Gantt, fifth child of Joseph Warren and Annie Gantt, was born, December the 31 1896, and departed this life April 1, 1947, at the age of 50 years, 3 months and one day.

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Missionary Baptist Church, remaining a loyal member until her death.

On June 16, 1917 she was united in marriage with W. C. Blackwell.

She is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. A. B. Wells of Selma, California, Mrs. T. H. Payne, Belleville, Arkansas; Mrs. Johnie Childress, Belleville, Arkansas; Mrs. Earl Barrick, Plainview, Arkansas; Mrs. K. A. Breshears, Oxnard, California.

She was preceded in death in 1934 by an infant son, William Gantt Blackwell. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. T. H. Farrow of Belleville, Arkansas; Mrs. Mary Roberts, Holdenville, Oklahoma; two brothers, Charlie Gantt, Holdenville, Oklahoma and Claud Gantt of Tulsa, Oklahoma and by a host of other relatives and friends.
