Dies At 86
Waller J. Behmer, 86, formerly
of Logansport, and a stale senator
from Cass and Fulton counties
from 1917 to 1925, died at
Evanston Hospital, Evanston, Il.,
at 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Born in Logansport, Jan. 21,
1877, he was the son Joseph and
and Roda Kloenne Behmer.
During the past several years
he spent the winters at Fort Lauderdale,
Fla., and summers at Culver.
He served as chairman of Associated
Railways of Indiana until 1942.
He was a 50 year member of
Logansport Elks Lodge and a 50
year member of Orient Masonic
Lodge No. 272 of Logansport.
He was a veteran of the Spanish
American War.
Survivors include the wife, Nora;
two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy He-
berl, of Indianapolis; Mrs, Helen
Balls, of Ml. Prospect, 111.; one
son, Eugene, of Indianapolis;
three -grandchildren; one brother,
Harry, of Portland; Iwo sisters,
Mrs. Samuel Campbell, of Indianapolis;
Mrs. James Rhine, of
route 4, Logansporl. One son,
Richard, preceded him in death
July 6, 1961.

Funeral services will be held in
McCloskey-Hamilton-Kahle Funeral
Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the
Rev. Peter Eckert officiating. Burial
will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after 2 p.m. Monday
Elks services be at 7:30
p.m. Monday at Ihe funeral home.
