Dean Jeffrey Hammett, 30, Nixa, died at 12:45 p.m Thursday, October 23, 1997 in his home in Nixa. Dean was born Nov. 23, 1966 in Lincoln County, Mo., the son of Alvin DeLane Hammett and Sharron McCloud Baumgartner. He was married to Deloris Nall Jan. 2, 1997 in Springfield. He was employed as a floor covering installer. He is proceeded in death by his stepfather Peter Baumgartner, Jan. 14, 1994, an identical twin brother Darren Hammett, his maternal grandparents, William and Darleen McCloud, and his paternal grandfather, Merritt Hammett, an uncle, Bill McCloud and a very special cousin, Donald Oney. Survivors include his wife Deloris Ann, Nixa, his Sharron Baumgartner, father Alvin DeLane Hammett, and wife Debbie, Eolia, a brother Daniel Scott Hammett and wife Holly, a niece, Taylor, and a nephew, Evan, all of Silex, his mother-in-law, Nina Harrier, Ozark, grandmother Darlene Hammett, Troy, and aunts, uncles and cousins and many other friends and relatives. Memorial services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Jones-Chastain Cemetery, Nixa with the Rev. Darrell Hinds officiating.
