W.A.(Ab ) Elrod, 71 of near Ball Ground, died in the Chatsworth Hospital Monday afternoon at 2;45 o'clock.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Elrod; two sons, Henry and Gordon Elrod; six daughters, Mrs. Edna Sisson, Mrs. Mollie (Childers) Roberts, and Mrs. Jessie Mae Roberts of Chatsworth, Mrs. Thelma Hodge of Atlanta, Mrs. Daisy Dixon and Mrs. Leon Willingham both of Cummings; two brothers, Thurman Elrod of Tennessee and Clabe Elrod of Chatsworth; two sisters, Mrs. John Coker of Varnell and Mrs. Josie Bramblett of Dalton and 46 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from Prospect Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. M.O.Casey officiating.
Burial was in the local cemetery with Kenemer Brothers in charge.
