MINERAL, Va. -- Wayne George Boulerice, 61, of Mineral, died Thursday, March 6, 2008.
He was born Jan. 31, 1947 in Plattsburgh, the son of the late George William and Helen Bechard Boulerice, and was a retired Captain from the New York State Department of Corrections.
Mr. Boulerice served in the United States Army from 1964-1967 during the Vietnam War, and he served with the Champlain Fire Department for 12 years, two as 1st Lieutenant and two as Fire Chief. He was a member of the American Legion for 29 years, and was a recent member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene J. Boulerice; his children, Gabriell Lynn and Drew Bradway of Spotsylvania, Melissa and Shawn LaValley of Mooers Forks, Gary and Jan Boulerice of Champlain, Karen Boulerice of Plattsburgh, and Margaret and Peter Chevelier of Champlain; also several nieces and nephews.
A memorial funeral Mass will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Spotsylvania. Inurnment with military honors will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
