Requiem mass will follow at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born in Jefferson, Ober graduated from high school there and attended Enid Business College. He later worked with an oil firm in South America and with the U. S. Army Engineers Corps in Alaska.
He had lived in Oklahoma City for 20 years and had worked at Tinker for 17 years, most recently in operations analysis.
Sirviving are his wife, Catherine, a son, Larry, and a daughter, Linda, all of the home at 712 NE 14; four sisters, Mrs. Arlington Smith, Tulsa; Mrs. Wayne Ransom, Ramona, and Mrs. Orville Barnes and Bertha Ober, both of Wichita, Kan.; and a brother, Lawrence, of Trenton. N.J.
