The Salt Lake TribuneSunday, November 13, 1977page 39 Byron Charles Peacock, 84, died of natural causes Nov. 11, 1977, at his home in South Jordan.Born March 10, 1893, in Sterling, Utah, to Brigham James and Eleanor Cox Peacock. Married Eva Leona Petty Dec. (?), 1916, in Castle Dale, Utah. Later solemnized in Manti LDS Temple. They lived in Emery until 1952, when they moved to Medford, Ore. In 1968 they moved to South Jordan. Veteran, World War I, active member of the LDS Church, serving as bishop of Emery Ward, Patriarch of Klammath Stake, Medford Stake and South Jordan Stake. After death of wife Leona, he married Ruth Brown Andrus, Draper, Nov. 22, 1972, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Survivors: widow, four sons, Byron C., Enterprise; Charles Herschell, Denver, Colo.; Rolland D., Kamas, Perry Dell, South Jordan; two daughters, Mr. Oliver (Erma) Meservy, St. Anthony, Idaho; Mrs. Stanford (Charlene) Stohell, Enterprise; five step-sons, Ray B. Andrus, Salt Lake City; M. Darrell and Robert B., both of Draper and Larry B., Logan and Paul S., Ogden; 65 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor (illegible), Spanish Fork; one brother, Riddell Peacock, Richfield.Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the South Jordan 1st LDS Ward, 1900 West 10430 South. Friends may call Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Monday, 6-8 p.m. and the church one hour prior to services. Burial Emery City Cemetery, where a short graveside service will be held.
