DEATH: Probate Court Notice given in the Hocking Sentinel, 5/26/1847;
as reported on Page 18 of Obituary and Administration Notices from
Logan(Hocking Co) Newspapers, 1842-1867 by James L. Murphy, The Ohio
Historical Society; Ohio Records and Pioneer Families, Vol 21; Logan FHL book US, Ohio, 82 ocr.
Also in his father's will of 1863 it states, "To my sons Cephas and Stephen heirs" indicating he was deceased by this time.
The marriage record states he married Elizabeth Hanks but I do not know yet if this is her maiden name or a married name. His marriage date is 25 Jan 1842 in Muskingum Co, Ohio.
