"LANCASTER Myrl S. Baker, 95, of Lancaster, died Sunday at Brethren Village in Lancaster after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Laura (Sangrey) Snavely Baker and the late Helen J. (Sturgis) Baker, who died in 1971.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster. Burial will be in Lititz Moravian Cemetery. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the village. The Young Funeral Home Inc., 317 E. Orange St., Lancaster, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baker was born in Bamford, Lancaster County. He was the son of the late George W. and Mary (Shaub) Baker.
He was a self-employed vegetable farmer for 45 years, retiring in 1965. He had stands at Central Market in Lancaster and Lebanon Farmers Market. He was a member of Calvary Church in Lancaster, where he was past Sunday School superintendent and Official Board member. He was past chairman of York Christian Businessman's Association.
Mr. Baker also is survived by nieces and nephews."
