Bernice B. Kirksey, born January 13, 1921 in Amelia County, Va., died on May 24, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. M. Kirksey. Bernice was employed by Riverside Drug Store for over 30 years.
She is survived by her sister, Ann Carroll; sisters-in-law, Harriett Barden and Erma Barden; nieces and nephews, Sonny, Barbara, Arlene, Tommy and Butch Cook, Nancy Combs, Doris Rogers, Judy Koch, Pete Barden, Jamie Guilfoil, Joni Browne and Gail Wells.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Blileys-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
