LaRene Andersen Neeley, 64, died March 3, 2009, at her home in St. Anthony following an illness with cancer.

LaRene was born May 26, 1944, in Idaho Falls, the daughter of Albert Eugene and Lila Grover Andersen. She grew up in the Rigby, Idaho, area, where she attended school.

She married William "Bill" Ernest Price on Dec. 17, 1959, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They had two children. They were later divorced. She married Doyle Lynn Neeley on May 10, 1969, in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Dec. 30, 1981. They have lived in Rexburg; Sugar City; Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Reno, Nev.; Petaluma, Calif.; and back to St. Anthony in 1989, where they have since resided.

In her younger years, she worked at the Idaho Fresh Pack and Roger Brothers as a lab tech. She attended Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon, Wash., where she received her real estate license and sold real estate for five years. She received her Idaho real estate broker's license. She was Realtor of the Year for 2007 and served as president of the Upper Valley Real Estate Board in 2008. She was a member of the St. Anthony Lady Lions Club and helped with the Junior Miss Pageant for many years. She was also an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as president of the Relief Society and Young Women's organizations, camp director, Sunday school teacher and Primary pianist. She enjoyed arts and crafts, raising miniature poodles, shopping and, in her younger years, riding horses.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn of St. Anthony; children, Kelley (Mae) Neeley of Troy, Mich., Kristine Jensen of Long Beach, Calif., David Neeley of Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Scott Neeley of Houston, Texas, Steve (Denise) Neeley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mike (Pam) Price of Meridian and David (Sue) Price of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Woodrow (Teresa) Andersen and Terry (Connie) Andersen, both of St. Anthony, Margaret (Greg) Brower of Gilbert, Ariz., and Lisa (Mike) Hunter and Scott (Trina) Andersen, both of Rigby.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at the St. Anthony 4th LDS Ward with Bishop Rick Hill officiating. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in St. Anthony Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Bidwell Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.bidwellfuneralhome.com.
