Allie Sumrall, 88, of Richton, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Perry Count Nursing Center, of heart failure. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, at Jones Funeal Home in Richton, with burial in Brown Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Kendrick will officiate. A homemaker, she was a longtime resident of Jones County. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ovett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harvey Sumrall; six brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Gail Sumrall of Richton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Jones Funeral Home in Richton is in charge of arrangements.
