Ethelene M. Iroler, 91, of Hillsville, Va., passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Iroler was born in Carroll County to the late Edmond and Edna Guynn Marshall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Iroler; and a son, V.E. Iroler. She is survived by her daughters and sons-inlaw, Jeanette and Don Poole of Miami, and Gaye and Frank Isemann of Williamsburg; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Iroler of Fancy Gap; brother, J.B. Marshall of Pulaski; sister, Faye Mills of Fancy Gap; four grandchildren and spouses, Vicky and Barry Beckner, Scott and Christy Poole, Stephanie and Chay McIntosh, and Kimberly and Jerry O'Brien; and six great-grandchildren, Payton O'Brien, Kylee O'Brien, Will O'Brien, Caroline Poole, Jake Poole and Sidney McIntosh. Funeral services will be held on 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Gladesboro Lutheran Church with Pastor Duane Steele officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery.
