Ted A. Stanislawski, age 71 of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Ted was born June 27, 1936 in Maywood, IL the son of Alex and Victoria (Sobula) Stanislawski and has lived in the Bangor - Paw Paw area most of his life. Ted was the owner and operator of his own semi-truck. He loved his work and enjoyed fixing things around the house. Surviving are his wife, Lora K., whom he married September 1, 1979; 3 step-sons, Jesse Joines of Grand Junction, Leslie Joines of Paw Paw, Gregg Joines of South Haven; 1 step-daughter, Marie Scott of Paw Paw; 2 step-grandchildren, Lora Knapp, Robbie Joines; 1 sister, Connie (Bill) Green of Tomball, TX; 2 daughters, Debbie Chilicote of MD, Cindy Coltpetzer of Bangor; 1 granddaughter, Dusty; and 3 great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Ed; and 2 sisters, Jean Szewczyk and Evelyn Konar. The family will meet friends Friday from 6-8 PM at the Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home where funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Dale Byers officiating. Interment will follow in Breedsville Cemetery, Columbia Township.
